Your privacy.

We collect as little as we can, never sell it, and don't use advertising trackers. There's no wallet connecting, so we never see your wallet's contents or keys: just the payout address you paste in. This page explains the rest.

1.Who we are

Impressions (“Impressions”, “we”) is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: the contact address we'll publish on this page.

2.What we collect and why

  • Your social account (TikTok or Instagram): its handle, the platform's account ID and the one-time code you put in your bio. Used to prove the account is yours and to sign you in. Basis: contract.
  • Your clips: each post's link, title, thumbnail, caption, posting date and its public view, like, comment and share counts over time. Used to check the caption credit and #memecoins, rank clips, work out payouts and spot fake views. Basis: contract.
  • Your payout address, to pay you, and the result of screening it against sanctions lists. Basis: contract and legal obligation.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, stored when you link a payout address, to keep it to one per internet connection. We don't store the address itself. If you ask for a manual review on a shared network, we keep the note you send with it. Basis: legitimate interests (preventing fraud).
  • Creator applications: your name, socials, budget, brief and the contact details you give (email or Discord). Contact details are stored encrypted. Used to review your application and reply. Basis: steps before a contract, at your request.
  • Creator campaigns: if your application is accepted, your campaign name, handles, rate, campaign wallet, its balance and what it has paid out. Basis: contract.
  • Security and fairness records: a log of sign-ins, submissions, admin decisions and payouts, and fraud flags on clips. Basis: legitimate interests (security, keeping things fair) and legal obligations.
  • Anonymous usage statistics, only if you allow them: which pages are viewed, the referring website and whether you're on a phone or computer, counted per day. No cookie, no IP address and nothing that identifies you. Basis: consent.

3.Public social data we read

To verify accounts and count views, Impressions reads public data from TikTok and Instagram through a data provider, Apify: your public profile (bio, follower count) and your submitted posts (caption, thumbnail and counts). Views are read every few hours and always at 23:55 UTC.

TikTok shows some content differently by country, so a post may be read through servers in different countries until one can see it. We remember which country worked for your account, so later reads go straight there. We never read private content, and we never post anything to your accounts.

4.Cookies

We only set cookies the site needs to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

  • imp_session: keeps you signed in (30 days).
  • imp_verify: links a bio-code check to your browser while you verify an account (1 hour).
  • imp_consent: remembers your choice about statistics (1 year).
  • imp_admin, imp_wa and imp_admin_gate: used only by Impressions staff to sign in securely.

The one optional thing is anonymous statistics, which are only counted if you choose “Allow”, and never if your browser sends Do Not Track. You can change your choice at any time:

5.Who we share data with

  • Our hosting and database providers, who store data for us under contract.
  • Apify, which reads public profile and post data on our behalf (see above).
  • The Solana network: payouts are public blockchain transactions.
  • Public price sources (CoinGecko and Coinbase) are asked for the SOL price. No personal data is sent to them.

We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising.

6.What is public

The leaderboard, payout history and round pages are public, so every payout can be checked. They show your social handle, your clips, their views, what they earned and the payout address paid. For creators, the campaign directory shows your campaign name, handles and their follower counts, rate, balance and brief, and your campaign wallet's transactions are public on Solana. Anything sent on Solana stays on Solana: it can't be removed by anyone.

Please don't take part if you don't want this to be public.

7.How long we keep it

  • Bio-code checks: deleted one day after they expire.
  • Sign-in sessions: deleted 30 days after they expire or you sign out.
  • Creator applications: deleted 12 months after we accept or decline them.
  • Clips, view readings, round snapshots, payouts and the security log: kept, because published rounds must stay verifiable and payment records must be kept by law. Finalized rounds can never be edited.
  • Anonymous statistics are only ever stored as daily totals.

8.Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it. Some records can't be deleted while they're needed for published rounds or payments, and nothing already on Solana can be removed. Contact us at the contact address we'll publish on this page. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9.Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Applicants' contact details are encrypted in our database, sign-in sessions are stored only as one-way hashes, and the key that sends payouts is held by a separate payout service, never by this website. We'll tell you and the regulator about a serious breach where the law requires it.

10.Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page. The rules themselves are on how it works and the terms.
